Yohn joined the Quantitative Imaging Group in the autumn of 2020, as an industrial PhD student, and currently holds a joint EPSRC iCASE PhD Studentship award with UCL and GSK.
Yohn’s PhD involves research into hyperpolarised 129Xe MRI, and the development of methods to use this approach to study aspects of gas exchange within the lungs. His work focuses on developing novel imaging techniques for both preclinical and clinical evaluation of lung function within the drug development pipeline.
Yohn also is a recipient of the industrial fellowship award from The Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 and has an interest in community outreach through the collaboration of both art and science.
