Sarah Needleman

PhD student

Sarah is a PhD candidate on the i4Health CDT, supervised by Professor Geoff Parker, Professor Jamie McClelland, and Dr Joe Jacob.

Sarah’s research is in the field of lung MRI. She uses inhaled oxygen as a contrast agent to extract functional lung information from MRI scans - a technique known as oxygen-enhanced MRI (OE-MRI). Sarah is currently working on the development of an MRI acquisition and analysis method aimed at improving the accuracy of the lung function information obtained from OE-MRI scans.

Sarah is a UCL Healthcare Engineering Impact Fellow and has an interest in public engagement.
